Zen Park (Buddha Shanthi Kanive) in Nagarabhavi Bangalore
I have been to the Zen Park or the Buddha Shanthi Kanive (popularly known as Buddha Park in Bangalore) three times. When I shifted to Bangalore 4 years ago, I used to explore the places to visit near me. Somehow I found this place called Zen Park in Nagarabhavi and planned to visit it one evening.

How is the Zen Park or the Buddha Shanthi Kanive?
At the entrance, you can find sculptures of two lions on either side. There are some Churmuri and Golgappa stalls near the main gate. You can also find the timing of the park mentioned on the right side.
As you enter the park, you can find people clicking pictures and making reels.
3 Dragons with Open Mouth – One of the Main Attractions
As you move further, there is a bridge on the right side. This is one of the places where people click lots of pictures as in the background you can find sculptures of 3 Dragons with their tongues out. This is the most attractive part of this park.
As you move further, you can find sculptures of Buddha with some other people.
Big Head with Open Mouth – Second Most Attractive Spot
There is also a big sculpture of a giant head with his mouth open wide. You can even go inside the mouth of that head and click pictures. This is the second most attractive place of this Zen Park or the Buddha Shanthi Kanive.
Buddha Sculpture
There is also a sculpture of Lord Buddha on the left side on some height in a meditating pose.
3 Monkeys
On the top of the boundary of the Zen Park a little ahead, there is a sculpture of Gandhi Ji’s 3 monkeys giving the following message:
- Don’t see evil
- Don’t hear evil
- Don’t speak evil
Behind this boundary there is a small temple in the same compound where you can go by leaving your footwear outside.
Sculpture of Siddartha and Devdutta
There is a small roundabout in the park. In the centre there is a Sculpture of Siddartha and Devdutta with a fountain in the center. It depicts the story of the Swan which was hit by the arrow shot by Devdutta. The Swan was finally saved by Siddartha.
Small Play Area for Kids
There is a small play area in the Zen Park too for the kids where they can play on the See-Saw, Swings, Slides and Climb too.
Walking and Jogging Track
After some distance there is a walking track made for people interested in jogging or willing to do morning or evening walk. In the center of the jogging area there are sculptures of Gandhi ji, Buddha, and the famous Kannada poet Kuvempu too.
